The transportation group maintains a very active research program.  Graduate and undergraduate students in transportation have the opportunity to get involved in various aspects of research including data collection, data analysis, model development, report writing, and interaction with research sponsors.  The vast majority of graduate students admitted into the transportation group obtain funding and work as research assistants on research projects.  Applicants to the transportation program who are interested in research assistantships are strongly encouraged to submit their application before January 31st to be considered for the following Fall semester, and before September 30th to be considered for the following Spring semester.
